This cot is an awesome deal and a hidden gem! It is a true ultralight cot! This cot fits into a nice small footprint when packed in its case. When assembled you can hold it out in front of you with your arm straight out and locked with no problem! Not only is this cot very affordable and super light, but it is also very well built. It is as sturdy as a cot can possibly be when assembled. It's nice and tight and stays that way throughout the night It is also extremely quick and easy to assemble thanks to its neato quick-release latch design.
I slept on this Ultralight Compact Camping Cot Pro at Padre Island for five nights, and here's my review 1. Setup: They claim it sets up in 60 seconds. That's ambitious but achievable after you've done it several times. The first go-around might have you scratching your head, but it gets easier. The fancy 360° Grip Lock Structure actually does make it feel sturdy.2. Size and Comfort: It's 30 inches wide, which is snug but comfortable for a guy my size. It's good for sleeping without worrying about rolling off in the middle of the night. I won't consider this a 'con,' but most of our air mattresses are wider than this cot. If you plan on using an air mattress on top of this, you may have to search for one that is narrow enough.3. Weight Limit: It says it can hold up to 350lbs. I haven't pushed that to the limit, as I weigh 265lbs, but it's been rock solid for me.4. Stability: The three stabilizers are a nice touch, especially when you're not on perfectly flat ground. It stays put, which is exactly what you want.5. Portability: It packs down small, which is great for someone who likes to keep things neat and not haul around too much. Now, on to the parts where there's room for improvement: 1. Learning Curve: The first time you set this up, you might wonder what you got yourself into. It gets easier but be prepared for a bit of a puzzle initially. 2. Color Options: I chose Army Green-Oxford, and it works for me. However, more choices would be nice. In all, I'm giving this cot a 5-star review. It's dependable, comfortable, and suits my needs when camping on the beach. Just make sure to practice setting it up before you're out in the wild.
It's so light, you could take it almost anywhere. I mean, maybe too much for a months-long Appalachian Trail hike, but if you're just going into the wilderness for a few days this would be well worth the extra cargo. It is not a "folding" cot, it's an assemble-and-disassemble frame cot. Everything unpacks from a handheld carrying case and the bars are folded sections of tube with an elastic band inside, like tent poles. The hardest part is locking the 3 tension locks that attach the legs to the long bed rails. They need a LOT of force to close, I needed both hands and felt winded after doing it. But once locked in, they stretch the bed really tight. It's almost as scary to unlock them since it takes a strong push of a button and then the clasps spring open. But it's not too bad. A smaller child or someone with weak hands (arthritis, etc) may not be able to do it, but a reasonably able-bodied adult can handle it.It's no posture-pedic sleep-number mattress, but it beats sleeping on the ground for sure. Nice to have for a planned camping trip or even as a backup in the back of your trunk for spontaneous adventures/emergencies.
This seems like a pretty nice cot. I think the best thing about it is how compact it is. Because it completely breaks down it fits in a much smaller footprint than a plain folding cot. There are no instructions but it's easy to figure out, and all the parts are held together with shock cords. You install both side rails inside the cot and then put on the three legs which are the stretchers to keep the cot taut. Just push in the two pins on one side of the legs and open up the clamp, attach the solid clamp to one side, place the open clamp on the other and just push the handle down until it clicks. The only thing that might end up being an issue that I've found is that if you are tall like me the ends do tend to bend down a bit when you are using it. So far it is working out fine and I like it.
I love how portable this cot is. It is so compact when being transported. It is very easy to open and put back and move. Very comfortable cot. It holds well over 200 pounds without any issues. It is very versatile you can use it as an extra bed or take it camping. Very sleek and clean appearance.
